Benefit Cosmetics Love With Escentual ♡

Hey Guys,

I'm so excited for this post because it's with two of my favourite brands, Benefit Cosmetics and Escentual, you may or may not remember the first blog post I wrote for Escentual which was the French Pharmacy Edit and it was actually a popular one, I guess we just love a little bit of French Beauty. Anyway, today's post is on the other side of the spectrum, all things Makeup, Benefit Cosmetics Makeup to be specific! I remember always seeing the Benefit Stand in Boots as a teen and having a little browse at the products and thinking, damn, they're a little pricey to be in Boots. Now that I've got a complete Beauty Obsession, I totally get why they're in the drugstore, they're not as inexpensive as other drugstore brands but they technically don't go into the high end category because they're not pricey enough. I genuinely have no idea why I just got into the logistics of why Benefit is sold at Boots, lets just get into the post shall we? ...

Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer (£17.50)*
I was excited to try this out because the hype around this stuff sounds pretty great, and I when I spotted Airbrush in the title, I was sold. Anything that can 'airbrush' my scars, I'm in! When I used this for the first time, I was so impressed by the coverage, you don't need a lot product to get the effect you want, I would say its a solids medium - full coverage. I thought because it was a heavier coverage that it would look a little cakey but there isn't any of that with this. Its a creamy formula, making it easy to blend into the skin and gives a natural finish. In terms of longevity, it lasts throughout most of the day, I would say around the 7/8 hour mark and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The only annoying thing I've found is that as I have Combo Skin, it does make my nose and inner cheeks slightly more oily and shiny, but nothing translucent powder and some blotting paper can't fix.

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumising Brow Gel (£20.50)*
I can't get over how much I have LOVED this over the recent weeks, it has been the only thing I've used on my brows and I don't even know why its taken me till now to try it. I remember when the the new Benefit Brow Range came out and it was everywhere, but I wasn't that interested, I'll tell you what, I've missed out and now I want to try more from the range. Okay, Okay, let me tell you why I bloody love this stuff, firstly, its incredibly easy to use, literally, brush the brows and go. Secondly, It has the perfect pigment for any finish you want, if you love natural brows like me, one swipe of the brush is enough to make you brows look fuller, whilst remaining natural, but if you like to go heavy on your brows, simply stroke the hairs a few more times. Thirdly, the brush is the perfect size, not too small, or too big, perfect to fit the brow shape and lastly, the actual bottle is a great size and weight, perfect for on the go, travelling distances and doesn't feel heavy. Did I tell you that I love this stuff??
When I spotted these, I can't lie, I was little nervous about using them, purely because I've just gotten into the practice of using liquid blush, highlight etc, but they're not as difficult to use as I thought. And they're dual products, they can be used for both the lips and cheeks, which is handy. But of course, what suits your cheeks may not look flattering on your cheeks. Right, onto the nitty gritty, pigment? It's a good pigment, you don't need a lot of product for the cheeks, a couple of tiny dots and when rubbed into the cheeks, it gives off a lovely natural colour. But of course, you do need a lot more product for your lips. The tints last a lot longer on your cheeks, as opposed to your lips, as it comes off with food, so there is a little reapplying needed. In terms of the three shades, there's a good contrasting range, you get a Coral, lovely deep Red Pink and a bright Cherry Pink. I like using these because they're handing and I just know they'll work with any makeup look. Having said that, the Cha Cha Tint (Corally Shade) isn't for my skin tone :(
Benefit They're Real! Double the Lip in Lusty Rose (£17.00)*
I mean, its no secret how much I love a good lipstick and I can happily add this one to the list. Its a little different as it provides a different effect. The darker, outer shade lines the lips whilst the lighter, inner shade adds an ombre effect. Which saves you from lining your lips! I love that the bullet has a teardrop design to help the application, and make the whole process fuss free. There are quite a few shades in the range, from deep reds to classic nudes, definitely one out there for everybody. I was really impressed by the pigment, one swipe on each lip does the job really well and I was surprised by how long it lasted. It lasted around 4-5 hours and then after lunch, I did have to reapply but it didn't fade as much as I thought it would.

There we have it, a little round up of all thing Benefit Cosmetics, what are your Benefit Faves?
