An Everyday Tofu Wrap ♡

Hey Guys,

Today I bring you another recipe!; a tofu wrap! During my summer holidays, I played around with a few ingredients and ended up with this outcome, and it tastes pretty darn good too! Let's get on with it, shall we?

○ A Block of Firm Tofu.
○ 4 Spring Onions.
○ 2 Cloves of Garlic.
○ 1 Tablespoon of Oil.

Soy Sauce Drizzle:
○ 10 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce (it seems like a lot, but it really isn't ☺)
○ 1 Spring Onion.
○ A bunch of Coriander.
○ 1 Dried Chilli, halved.
○ 1 Garlic Clove.
○ Half a Teaspoon Cumin Seeds.

Spice Marinade:
○ 1/4 Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder.
○ A pinch of Chilli Powder.
○ A little Salt.
○ 1/4 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder.
1. Drain the Tofu according to packet instructions. Whilst this is being done, its time to make both the sauces. For the soy sauce drizzle, all you have to do is, chop the Garlic, Spring Onion and Coriander and add all the ingredients for this sauce into a bowl full of soy sauce. Leave that aside, you'll need it right at the end!
This is when you also make the spice marinade. This is pretty simple too, add all the spices into a bowl with a little water, until it has a runny paste texture.
To get all the excess water out of the tofu, I put a strainer in one plate with the tofu on top, with another plate on top along with a heavy item!

 2. Chop the Onions and Garlic and put in a separate plate. Once that is done, the tofu needs to be scrambled! It's quite simple, take a fork and shred the tofu in a sense.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and add the garlic.
4. Once the Garlic is turning slightly brown in colour, pop in the chopped Onions.
5. After around 2 minutes, the onions should have slightly softened, this is when you can add the tofu. Once the tofu has been added, let is cook on a low heat for 10 minutes whilst frequently stirring, it may start to stick to the pan, if it does, add a touch of oil.
6. After the tofu has ever so slightly browned, (if it still hasn't, give it 2 more minutes) add the spice marinade. And cook for a further 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes are up, give it a little taste, if anything needs to be added, go ahead and add whatever is needed.
7. All that is left is to plate up, you can wrap the tofu in a tortilla wrap but I opted for a lettuce leaf and drizzled the soy sauce on top. And Fertig ☺ (That's finished for German!)
P.s why not try this out with any meat or poultry of choice, or with Mediterranean veg ☺
