CoverFX Power Play Foundation Review ♡

Hey Guys,

I went to my very first blogger event around two months ago and loved every minute of it. I've been invited before but always declined because I'd always be super nervous, but knowing this was a CoverFX event, I knew I had to be there. Because I absolutely love this brand! And today, I've written up a little review of their new Power Play Foundation*, I got matched for this product at the event and instantly loved it. It comes in a whooping 40 shades, yes, I wrote 40 and is completely suitable for all three undertones, there really is a perfect match for every skin tone. I'm a little fussy when it comes to Foundations as I'm not one for foundation. As many of you may know, I don't like a heavy feeling on my skin, but I'm glad there's none of that with this ...

PS, please do excuse the dodgy, well overgrown brows, we're just going to have to roll with them for today's post lol.

Shade Match

Lets start off with the Shade Match, how is it? Beyond Perfect. And that's no exaggeration. This is by far the best matched foundation I own, like I said earlier, this has 40 shades in the range, fitting all undertones. I have a golden, yellow undertone and struggle to find foundations to fit that but this suits nicely. It's not too dark nor light, I'll be sure to leave a few close ups in the post.

I love it, its that perfect balance, its not liquidy or thick in any sense. The best part is that its incredibly easy to work into the skin, I've only ever used it with a brush but there hasn't been any streaky-ness going down. Let's get onto the coverage, my fave part, its a solid medium to full, you can build it up or go with one layer and still get a great finish. I use around one pump and that's more than enough for my entire face and that even helps cover any of my acne scars. On days where I want more coverage, I apply half a pump extra to dab over any spots/scars. The one thing that I have noticed is that it does crease under the eyes, which is a little annoying but don't tend to use it under my eyes. I like to use a brightening concealer around there!

How does it feel on the skin? Like nothings there. I usually just stick to concealers because I don't like the heavy feel of foundation on my face, and I like a natural feel and look. But this, honestly is weightless, it genuinely feels light and comfortable.

The foundation is a modern-matte finish. I have combination skin, my nose is oily and my cheeks dry, but I didn't have a problem with this. Yes, later in the day, my nose got a little oily, because I hadn't used to powder to set it, but although this is a matte finish, my cheeks didn't feel dry. And normally, drying foundations cling onto any dry patch I have, but I with the Power Play, I didn't see any of that going on, quite surprisingly.
 Wear Ability

It claims to last all day, which I can vouch for. I've tested with and without primer underneath and with primer, it goes the whole day, you can only see it fading a little at the very end of the day, before you take your makeup off. On the days I didn't wear primer, it stays put around 7 hours, which still isn't bad going.

I have honestly grown to love this stuff, whenever I do where foundation, this is the only one I reach for!

Have you tried anything from CoverFX?
