The Birthday Face ♡

Hey Guys,

It's that time of year again, where I share what I slapped on my face for my birthday! I turned the grand ol' age of 22 on Sunday and I still can't believe it, all I keep thinking is that I'm 8 years from 30, nuts! I never really do anything special for my birthday, on the actual day, I spend it with family and then a few days later, or whenever we are all free, I have a day with my friends because two of us have birthdays that are days apart. For my actual day, I went for brunch with my family, which we have never done before, yup, that's a confession right there, I've never brunched before! And then a spot of shopping, dinner and dessert, food all round ...

Right, for makeup, I went with something light, natural, with a decent amount of coverage. I started off with the Nars Tinted Moisturiser, blended that all over my face. Then I went in with a combination of my two everyday faves, the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and the Nars Creamy Concealer. I usually just pop them over any spots/scars. Time to tackle the under eyes and I spoke about this a few months ago and since then, I haven't used anything for my under eyes since. Its the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer. It has to be one of the best concealers that I've used for my eyes, it brightens and hydrates the area so well!

Onto the the cheeks, from the little selfie, you may not be able to tell because I went very light with Blush. Sometimes I get worried that I've applied too much, so I genuinely took the tiniest amount of the Nars Illuminator in Orgasm and brushed it out. To add that glow, I used my ultimate glow weapon, the Laura Geller Gilded Honey Highlighter.

For brows and eyelashes, pretty much a standard routine. The brows had some Becca Shadow & Light Contour Mousse applied onto them and the lashes had a few strokes of the L'Oreal Lash Paradise!

To finish, the lips! I was most excited about this part because I was using a new product. After reading Shireen's blog post on Kat Von D lippies (read here), I knew I had to have Lolita. And the day after reading it, I popped into a Debenhams and swatched three of the Lolita's and fell in love with Lolita, the OG was too light and the Lolita II didn't suit me much. But Lolita, holy goodness, I needed it. So for my birthday, my sister got it for me lols. I used it for the first time and its the perfect everyday, pinky shade and smells good too!

There we have it, a little makeup post!
