Urban Decay Naked Heat: Worth the hype? ♡

Hey Guys,

I know what you're thinking, not another bloody review of the naked heat palette, sorry, I'm just about to bring you one haha. Were you hoping for a punch line? I haven't got one today! But in all seriousness, this has to have been the hype of the summer, you couldn't escape it if you tried, all over Instagram, Twitter, in stores, well duh, it's meant to be sold in a store Trishna. As the title suggests, I'll be banging on about the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette* and if you're still unsure about getting I'll be sure to let you know if it's worth the hype ... or not ...

Packaging

I was quite surprised by the packaging, I was expecting it to be a lot smaller and lighter, but alas, its quite sturdy, long and has a good weight to it. It's got a match stick vibe to it, to go along with the 'heat' aspect and that includes the colour and design. It comes with a brush with a blending brush one end and a detailed crease brush the other, which are incredibly soft. And they work a dream, the blending brush, blends perfectly, there's no need to press hard or force the blend, its effortless. Whilst use of the crease brush adds amazing depth to the entire look.
Formulation

Let's start off with pigment, there is no denying that, it's insane. When I first swatched the shades for the very first time, I couldn't believe how strong, rich and intense they were. I've never seen eye shadow shades as strong, and I promise, that's not an exaggeration.

The palette includes 12 shades from bronze to neutrals, with a variety of metals and mattes. The first shade that caught my eye was Scorched which is a deep rose gold with hints of shimmer, its become my fave! Its a warm palette which makes it perfect for any skin tone and any occasion. You can play it simple with the neutral shades for the daytime and smoke it up for an evening look.

The one and only annoying thing I've found with using the palette is the fall out. I mean most eye shadows have fall out but because the shades I'm attracted to using are the shimmery shades and so, I end up looking like a glitter ball when I'm finished lol. Nothing a little makeup wipe can't fix but I think I need to invest in those eye shadow fall out guards, I've seen them floating around in Primark. I guess, not much of an investment, I do love me a bargain beauty product.

The actual formula is very smooth and not grainy in the slightest, which makes blending easy and effortless. And the shadow surprisingly lasts a good amount of hours, right throughout the day.
Is it worth the hype?
If its not obvious already, YES! Yes it is, perfect for any occasion and applies like a dream, could anyone want more?

The Naked Heat Palette* retails for £39.50 at Urban Decay, Feel Unique, Debenhams and House of Fraser
