Is it really a Miracle Finish? ♡

Hey Guys,

I'm back with another skincare post, I never used to do many of these because I never feel as though I can explain a lot about skincare, and there are amazing bloggers who can, (Anne, i.e, my personal Caroline Hirons haha!). Alas, I love skincare, testing and just finding something that works for my skin. Today, I'll be on about the Bio Essence 24K Gold Miracle Finish*. I've seen this floating around blogs and instagram for a few months now and I used to think, seriously, is it that good. But, after being kindly sent a bottle, I now see why its much loved ...

Where do we start? Probably with what the actual product is right? Its supposed to be applied at the very last step of your skincare routine, it acts as a primer for your makeup, although, you don't necessarily have to wear makeup after this is on. I've tested this for near enough two months and at first, I wasn't sure what to make of it!
The first day I used this, I didn't like it, silly me, not reading the packaging thought it would add a lovely glow to my skin, however, it leaves a matte finish. I have combination skin and so a matte skin can be annoying. But then I applied makeup and it went on really smoothly and easily. Then it came to around 4/5 O'Clock and my makeup was still there, it hadn't faded or smudged and so, I was pleasantly surprised.

The next day, I wasn't eager to apply it because I, guess, I just didn't like the fact that it made my skin matte, so what I did was, apply it only to my nose, inner cheeks and chin (the oily areas) and from there, I started to get a long with it. Those areas didn't get too oily during the day and as I only dot concealer around my face, day to day, the makeup stayed put!
It's supposed to radiate your skin, the more you use it and in all honesty, given the testing time, I've seen that happen. My pores are less prominent and it just adds a lovely finish to my skin. There are tiny specks of gold in the formula, which help brighten the overall look of the skin. This has the benefit of reducing the appearance of wrinkles, I haven't really seen much of that, maybe with a little more time. I specifically used this under my eyes and it has helped brighten and lift that area, which was a lovely surprise!
It's fair to say that I've actually grown to love this, it for sure has become a staple in my routine and I'll be sure to repurchase another bottle when I run out. A little really does go a long way, I've found that I only ever need 2/3 tiny pumps and although I've been using this for a couple of months, it looks like I've barely made a dent!
There's only on down side, I wish the description was printed onto the bottle, not onto the box package, because, I had to kept referring back to the photo's I took for this post to remember what the product is supposed to do/feel like!

There are other Bio Essence products in the range, which I'm quite eager to try! This retails for £29.99 online at Superdrug, what have you made of it?
