My 1st Empties ♡

Hey guys,

Apologies for the lack of posts last week, I started uni again after a mammoth 6 months off and I just needed to settle into my timetable. Plus, I've been in a blogging stump, ie had major writers block, bloggers will know this feeling. Its just where, you have no motivation to write a post and even if you push yourself your not happy with it, your basically in a major slump. I was in one for a god few weeks, luckily I had a few posts written to publish but last week, nothing was scheduled and I thought nope, I'm not putting something up that I'm not happy with. I just had to ride the feeling out but the other day, I got a major urge to write and I knew that feeling had finally faded. Onto the actual post lol. I've never done an empties mainly because I always forget to keep the packaging for a post, instead I just bin the thing. But but, for the past few months (it takes me ages to finish a product) I have been placing the products in a very handy box, so let's just delve right in shall we.

First up we have a shampoo and conditioner, come to think of it, I've never spoken about hair related items apart from the 8 in 1 curler because I honestly don't know how to explain them, I'm so used to beauty stuff. This will probably encourage to write more about that hair products. Anyway, before I side tracked, I was on about this shampoo and conditioner. I thought this would help my dandruff prone hair, yep I get dandruff and have done ever since I was a kid. My scalp used to be super dry when I was a child, I specifically remember going to the doctors for it, but can't remember if it ever got resolved. These made my hair feel really fresh, fresher than most others but it's kind of did the opposite when I comes to the dandruff part because it only made my scalp more drier than it was prior. And another thing, my hair after a day or two of washing felt really hard, not like a brick obvs but it just didn't feel soft. Back to Pantene I go!

Carmex: This doesn't need no introduction around here, I go on and on about it and it just does an amazing job at moisturising my lips, it's the only think I've used for the past 6 years.

Clean and Clear Spot treatment: Now I've tried every spot treatment under the sun, trust me, getting acne you probably shouldn't try different treatments but you gotta do what you gotta do to find the perfect fit. This is a drugstore treatment and it's worked better than any of the high end ones. It reduces the redness of the pimple and within a day or two depending on the size and it's gone!

Collection Clump Free Mascara: I never really use this mascara on its own, its always the one I go to once I've finished putting my mascara on. It helps add that extra little length, whilst removing those annoying clumps. I think this was one of my first mascara's and its just now finished, result haha!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I really don't need to go on about this, its the only thing I slap onto my face these days. I cant be bothered with foundation day to day, so I use this to cover my scars, whack my favourite lipstick on, add some mascara and I'm good to go.

The Body Shop, Mango Hand Cream: Guys, my hands, they get terribly and annoyingly dry, some peoples hands only get dry during winter but with me, its all year round. Like seriously! I genuinely can't even wash my hands and not apply cream after. Anyway, this was my go to and did a pretty good job of moisturizing them.

Impluse Very Pink Body Spray: Do I really need to go over this, its just a lovely smelling body spray, I spritz and go, it seems to do the job ☺

  7. I'm the same way with empties where it's hard for me to keep the packaging once it's done, even if I want to do an empties post! The Mango Hand cream sounds bomb, mostly because I love mango, but I can't justifying buying one until I finish my Burt's Bees hand cream! Side note, totally thought the concealer was the one from NARS, lol.

  10. I think I have done only one empties post on my blog, I have too many empty products at the moment, most of them bath products so I am not really excited to write a post about them. I always apply hand cream too after I wash my hands!

  14. Well, the shampoo does say clay on it-- no wonder it made your hair too hard. Maybe they shouldn't advertise that, lol. I like what you are saying about clean and clear. I've seen it often in drugstores but never picked it up myself. I really want to try it now, as the current face wash I am using from the body shop is pretty much useless. Thank you!

  19. I definitely know the feeling of writer's block, haha, and it's so incredibly annoying, but it happens. It looks like I have to check out that Clean & Clear spot treatment because I've been breakout a little bit lately. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  20. Glad to see you're back! It's tough getting into the transition back to school/work and then writing on the blog. Plus writer's block is a real pain in the butt! I've had it off and on for the past few months as well.

Great empties post - I love the Body Shop hand creams. I find that the hemp lotion works amazingly when the weather is transitioning into the cooler months.

  26. I can't go without foundation for a day! If I don't have time to smear on a liquid one, I'll pat on a power foundie. It just makes my skin that much smoother and brighter, and since I'm oily-skinned, I need dat mattifying effect!
