My Mood Board: Explained ♡

Hey Guys,

If you have read Tuesdays Post about Desk Touches, you kinda would've known that this post was heading your way. I wanted to explain the mood board I had made and placed on my desk because I feel like that way, you all will get to know me that tiny amount more and I guess from this post, you'll know my aspirations! Before I get onto the actual post, I really just wanted to share how much I love mood boards, like oh my goodness, my love for them is unreal and I love beyond anything making them. I love choosing images, textures, patterns, literally anything and somehow combining a way of putting them on a board and making them look aesthetically pleasing. If there was a mood board making job, I'd be on it like a rash haha.

How I Made It:
Because I wanted to make a personal mood board and not one for fashion and interior, I decided to collect images that I find are pretty and inspire me, so I scoured the internet and pinterest of course and got on with it. Pink, I knew had to be included because its my favourite colour, and I knew it'd add a pop of colour, so I opted for pink tissue paper and to add a 3D effect, I stuck on a few buttons and beads from my textiles days!

Pink Tree:
This one is pretty simple, I have a major thing for trees, I appreciate them for some odd reason and pink trees right in the middle of full bloom, aaah what more could I want. They're so pretty and fairylike, they simply make me happy, so of course, if a real life pink tree makes me happy, why not stick an image of it on my Mood Board!

London Houses:
I haven't met one person who doesn't love London houses, ever since I was a child, I've loved them. They're so classic and pretty, not to mention pretty darn expensive. 20 Grand a month for even a flat in the city, no thanks ... yet! Haha. I love the city and I've always aspired to make a home there, I know its a ridiculously big and pretty crazy dream but hey, weirder things have happened! Here's to somehow making that happen ☺

Flowers:
I LOVE FLOWERS!! Love, love, love the things! They make me so happy and simply add such a lovely touch to anyone's home. And rose gold is one of my all time favourite colours, everything about this picture is perfect!

Desk:
I think after Tuesdays post, this is pretty obvious. Without repeating myself, a good, clean and lovely desk does wonders to my creativity and imagination!

Flat Lay:
This one may be kind of odd, even to me it was but flat lays make me really happy, I mean just look at how perfect it is. Now onto actually mastering a flat lay myself!

Healthy Fridge:
I really want to get healthy, I'm making slight progress but its hard to cut out everything bad in your life, especially when you live in a family of 6. I know my fridge is never going to be as amazing as this one but because the first thing I see when I get up in the morning is this Mood Board, it'll hopefully keep me on the healthy track for the day, or should I say the next few hours haha!

  11. That's such a cute moodboard! I love moodboards as well, but I'm usually making them in Photoshop. I am planning on making a physical version of a vision board with pictures representing my goals and such though. Also, rose gold is one of my favorite colors, I love how pretty it is!

  15. This is gorgeous! I wish I had the persistence and creative patience to curating such a thing. I tend to stick to Pinterest or creating digital versions on photoshop. Not quite the same as having it physically before me.

  25. Oh my gosh, this little mood board is so pretty and I love all the images! You are super talented and creative, I think if I tried creating my own mood board it would end up a complete mess! :P <3 But hey, if you ever become a full-time mood-board maker (that would be a fun job indeed, haha), make one for me okay? :D <3 I love how yours is so pretty and pink (yay for pink!), and the images are definitely something I can relate to. :) I too adore pretty flowers and the classy London houses, and have a huge crush on flat lay photos lately.. I've been trying to incorporate some into my blog, but it's difficult to get them right! Hope you're well, hun. Kisses. x

  41. This was such a fun read, Trishna! I loved getting to know you a bit more through your explanation of your mood board! I think it says a lot about you that you have a deep appreciation for trees, as it's so symbolic of life. It tells me that you don't take life for granted and you appreciate the fact that you're even alive. I know that may sound a bit weird, but so many people constantly complain and wine about what they don't have and just simply take all of life for granted, so it's refreshing to know that someone really does appreciate it :) I'm a sucker for cherry blossom trees, too! We have them all throughout NY and they just make the city look that much more gorgeous and whimsical. As for the design of your mood board, I love it! I love that you brought it to "life" by not only including details that reflect your desires (you WILL live in one of those fab London houses, just keep on believing!) but that you added buttons and lights to bring it forward, perfect touches! Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you're having the absolute best day so far!
