DIY Blackhead Remover ♡

Hey Guys,

So, blackheads have always proven to get under my skin, literally and figuratively! They just really annoy me, they're so pesky and I do everything to try and get rid of them! I just use an ordinary blackhead remover strip probably once a week but they never really do much. Yes, they remove a few black heads but I don't know, they're not satisfying me anymore. Anyway, on to the actual point, I was browsing the internet and came across this remover 'recipe' and thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't sure if it was just a myth or if it actually works. It's almost like I've tested a beauty myth. It involves powdered gelatine and milk. And the results were quite surprising! It genuinely worked!! Which is why I thought I'd share it today!

What you will need:

2 Teaspoons of Milk
Half a sachet of Powdered Gelatine
A Bowl
A Brush

The technique:

It's incredibly simple. Mix the gelatine and milk until a rough paste forms. Then you have to microwave it for 30 seconds. Mix it and make sure its of a gloopy and ever so thick paste and your all good to go! Wait for it to cool down before applying it to your problem areas, I put it on and gave my nose a scare haha. So just dip your little pinky in to test the temperature. Then all you do is brush it onto your nose, it will be quite sticky so try and be speedy when applying. And make sure you apply a thick layer, because if its too thin, it may prove difficult to remove.

Leave it for 15 minutes, have a cake, watch some TV, go on Instagram, just kill those 15 minutes haha. Once they are over, you simply peel it off. It should come off in one strip (kinda like a waxing strip) and you should hopefully be able to see all the gunk on the strip, I sure did!

Hopefully it works just as well for you as it has done for me!

See you next week.

  1. I've seen Michelle Phan do this. I always wanted to try it, but I feel like my blackheads will stubbornly refuse to be evicted like always. Lol.
