Chocolate Bowls | Christmas Dessert ♡

Hey Guys,

Right, I know this is the Merely Healthy section and this is pretty much a chocolate dessert but there is a little fruit involved ( from your side ☺) so that's kind of healthy right, haha, lets just go with that. I saw this dessert whilst casually browsing the internet and thought OMG I have to make that so I youtubed it and it honestly didn't seem so difficult. I gave it a go and majorly failed so I learnt from my mistakes and tried to make it again, it didn't go so bad this time! It can get quite messy, so if you do try this recipe out, just be sure of that. I'm pretty sure this will be our Christmas dessert this year!

Ingredients:
A Bar of Chocolate
Cream
Decorations, I went will silver balls
Balloons
Fruit, I wanted to top the cream with blueberries and strawberries but I forgot to buy them, typical! I suggest adding some fruit though, it'll add some colour and bite.

1. Wash your balloons, just to be on the safe side and blow them up. Now, I stupidly picked up water balloons and they just popped when I dunked them into the melted chocolate. So I had to blow up regular balloons instead. But the most important element of this recipe is the balloon size, make sure the balloon is the size that you want the bowl to be, I wanted mine to be small so I didn't blow them up that big.

2. Break up the bar of chocolate.

3. Boil some water in the kettle, just to make the process faster and transfer that into a pan and put the bowl of chocolate on top, this will help melt the chocolate. Be sure not to over melt it, if that makes an sense. The first time I tried this out, the chocolate became too runny, so as soon as the chocolate is melted, immediately take it off the heat.

4. Whilst, the chocolate is melting, line a baking tray with grease proof paper, this will save you washing the tray lol.

5. Once the chocolate has melted, take a spoonful and make a little circle with the chocolate, this will act as a base for the bowl and it will help keep it up right.

6. Now, all you have to do is dunk each balloon in the bowl of chocolate and give it a little swivel to coat the bottom of the balloon.

7. And then simply place it on the little spot of chocolate and keep it in the fridge for just over two hours or when the chocolate has hardened.

8. I wanted to pop the balloons with a pin but my neighbour has a baby, so I though I'd just make a tiny hole with a pair of scissors lol.

Once the balloon has fully deflated, slowly peel it away from the chocolate.

9. And top with whatever you like, on Christmas day I'll be sure to have some fruit but today I just went with cream and silver balls.

And we're Gotowe (Polish for Finished ☺)

Enjoy!
